Well it's been a while since we've had a 120/140 get together in Kansas and the Illinois fly-in, highlighted in the last newsletter, ignited a spark here in the Air Capital! For those of you in the Mid-West, or anyone else interested in making the journey, please join us on Saturday, June 10th.
The gathering will be at Wamsley Field (SN36), which is just 20 miles southwest of Wichita. This is the home of our recently elected Vice President Roy Aycock and his better half Marcy. They're graciously opening up their hangar and home to us for the day. The field is a very nicely maintained 2500' x 70' grass strip with ample parking.
It's planned as a one day event but if anyone would like to come early and/or stay late please give us a shout. For you out-of-towners there's PLENTY to do with the Wichita area if you would like to make a weekend out of it. Marcy also mentioned there's room to accommodate a few campers if anyone is so inclined. If you're interested in camping please reach out to Roy or myself so we can make sure to plan for you, etc.
