Cigarette lighters are to be fused at the battery, not the power buss.

Roger that Randy. I was wondering if anyone has a particular socket they have used and if they went 337 route or logbook entry. I would think a logbook entry would be appropriate. Thoughts?

I need to install one in my 140 as well. Could you expand on the installation a little more please? Fused at the battery? Which side of the solenoid? A wire run all the way from the battery with an inline fuse all the way to the panel? Wire size?

Most people would like the port to remain hot with the master off, so it would go to the battery side of the solenoid. It has been quite a while since I did my last one. I think I used #12 wire with the inline fuse at the battery. The fuse needs to be a lower amperage than the capacity of the wire.

I'm pretty certain any time there is a cigarette lighter in our aircraft, that AD applies. I would recommend getting a Cessna receptacle and making a log entry stating the receptacle was installed and circuit protection was added.
