I got the prototype of the steel link done. I machined it from a hunk of 2024 plate. Next up is the other half of the latch that is normally made from Aluminum. I will make it from a piece of C channel extrusion. Sorry its taking so long. Let me know what you think

Just Curious...........
The window on the passenger side of my 120 is hinged but screwed shut. If I took the two securing screws out and left it unrestrained what would it do during flight? I've pondered this for awhile but never had the nerve to try it.
It's getting cooler now, so I won't think about it much until next summer. That said, it sure would be nice to have the extra circulation at times.

I've heard that the window will rise and rest against the wing surface. Haven't tried it myself.
