requirements (for ADSB) do not apply to "any aircraft that was not originally certificated with an
electrical system, or that has not subsequently been certified with such a system installed,
including balloons and gliders." 14 C.F.R. § 91.225(e
Has the 120, which was not originally certificated with an electrical system, subsequently been certificated with an electrical system?
Is ADSB Out required if my 120 is flown where transponders are required?
I keep getting different answers to these questions.

In simple terms, if you have a 120 with an electrical system (battery and generator) then you will need ADS-B wherever you need a transponder today. They are referring to an individual aircraft, and if yours has a an electrical system and is certified, then it has subsequently been certificated with an electrical system. You also cannot now remove that electrical system and duck the rule that way.
OTOH, if it was delivered without an electrical system and never had one added over the years, then you are exempt.
At least that's how I understand it... There was a similar discussion when Mode C became mandatory in some (pretty much the same) areas.
