Win a Restored J-3 Cub in the JRBAF’s Newest Charitable Raffle

Jul 20, 2026 | Aviation News, Flying Magazine

Aviation enthusiasts have a chance to win one of three restored J-3 Cubs in the 2026-27 Jim Richmond Backcountry Aviation Foundation (JRBAF) charitable raffle, with the foundation covering all federal income tax withholding for the winners.

Honoring the legacy of CubCrafters founder Richmond, the raffle supports JRBAF’s mission to expand and preserve public backcountry aviation access across the western U.S. Tickets are $50 each, and every entry provides three opportunities to win one of the restored aircraft.

One of the grand prize aircraft is on display at the CubCrafters booth at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 20-26.

Additional prizes—all aviation-related hardware, gear, and experiences—will be announced throughout the year. The raffle drawing is on Saturday, June 5, 2027. Additional raffle details, including the full prize list, official rules, and link to purchase tickets can be found here.
