SyberJet has received letters of intent for more than 50 SJ36 aircraft following the model’s unveiling last week in Henderson, Nevada.
The LOIs are nonbinding expressions of interests that can eventually result in a firm purchase agreement. SyberJet said the letters came from across the business aviation sector, including charter operators, corporate flight departments, and private owners. Several sought to reserve multiple aircraft.
The SJ36 has seating for eight passengers and is designed to be the fastest and farthest-flying light jet ever built, with projected maximum speed of Mach 0.88 and a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles and a 49,000-foot ceiling.
A mock-up of the aircraft was displayed to the public ahead of the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
Deliveries of the SJ36 are expected to begin in 2032.
